Auditors Encouraged to come!

The “Complete Freestyle Clinic” is a new, cost effective, innovative, and competitive approach to freestyle creation at all levels of Dressage. In this two day program riders leave with their competition freestyle music and choreography in-hand ready to show.

On the first day riders and their horses will ride with Mike.  Mike will time the beats of the horses gaits with a metronome.  Once this is done Mike and the rider will go though music selections that best suit the horse’s gaits, personality, and energy.  During that first day riders participating in the second day will meet with Christine.  In this meeting riders should bring their freestyle test sheets and if possible a CD of the horse and rider combination performing a test at the level the pair hopes to ride their freestyle or a least the highest level at which they have performed.  Together Christine and the rider will create the choreography for the horse and rider, emphasizing their strengths.  Once the rider has their choreography the rider is encouraged to memorize the test for the next day!

The second day each rider has and hour and a half session with Christine. At the beginning of this session the rider will ride their new freestyle test. This test will be recorded. From the recording the segments of the test will be timed. The music that the horse and rider selected the day before will be edited to match the choreography. The edited music will then be played and the horse and rider will ride through their completed freestyle!  If necessary additional edits can be made. At the end of this session the rider will have in hand gait perfect music personally selected to ideally highlight their horse, choreography to accentuate the horse and rider’s strengths, and two CD copies of their competition music for shows.
